In Memory of Sasha for Dave "Rainbow Bridge Memorial Giveaway"

Sasha owned and loved by
Dave Krecz

Sasha was 11.5 when we lost her on Dec. 4, 2009. We got her from Animal Rescue at the MD/PA line in 1998. Steph & I loved her so much. All she wanted to do is make us happy. She was so sweet and everybody loved her. If she saw you looking at her she would wag her whole butt, not just her tail. She
loved everyone.

In Loving Memory of Baby For Nelda "Rainbow Bridge Memorial Giveaway" (Winner 10)

In Memory Of Baby

This is my "Baby" who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on December 10, 2008. I grew up in Corpus Christi Texas. She belonged to a neighbor who was trying to get rid of her by beating her up. I couldn't believe the treatment of this beautiful angel, so I asked if I could have her. And, she was with me for the next 18 years. A very friendly, loyal and wonderful pet and companion. She loved my husband as well. She was a wonderful mother and is so missed each and every day. In this photo, she was watching out for my husband to come home from work where we now live in California.

My beautiful little boy "Oswald" that I lost tragically July 23rd, 2009 I love you and miss you darling. Wait for Mommy at the Rainbow Bridge. xox

I had Oswald almost 6 years, He was born August 5th, 2002 he was blind and a diabetic. I had to give him 3 shots a day. I moved here to the States in 2008 from Canada. I left every behind except the love of my life, my love, my little dog.

I feel my heart has been shattered, I miss him every day, I still cry for him. He was my constant companion and best friend. I will never forget him.

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be

worthy of such devotion.

He was a constant companion for my disabled mom when I wasn't home. Sadly he had a tumor on his liver and was losing weight. The day after my wedding I had to put him to rest. My new husband's last name is Tucker so imagine losing one very sweet special Tucker and gaining one all in 2 days. That was January 25-26 2010.

In Loving Memory of Kelly for Susan Loughnane "Rainbow Bridge Memorial Giveaway" (Winner #6)

In Rememberance of Kelly
Owned by

My Australian Shepherd, Kelly. 1959-1975. Killed in a home fire. She rose from the ashes to live for another 6 yrs, thanks to the valiant efforts of the San Dimas
Fire Dept. in southern CA.
Kelly didn't require any training. She could read minds! You thought it and she did it. A horse stepped on, and shattered her foot. There was no keeping her down. She would still HAVE to go down the trail for a ride. So dragging her cast leg along, off we would go. And I wasn't the only one that couldn't make her stay home. She had to go with the neighbor too. After my mother's home was arsoned, killing my cat, bird, and Kelly...the firemen worked feverishly to revive her. The next day we walked over to the Fire Dept (down the block) so that Kelly could shake hands with each and every fireman to thank them. I sobbed. I'm sobbing just in the telling of it. She was a great, great dog. One of a kind. Thank you for letting me tell her story.

This is my first basset, Sherlock. He came to us at the age of 5 weeks. He came from a litter of 14 pups and his mom, young herself, quit nursing all of them. July 19, 1980. was gotcha day. cuter than cute, and absolutely terrified, we brought him home. The first night he slept on my chest, while I slept in the recliner the entire night, He grew up to be a very large boy. 68+ pounds, 14" tall, just over 5' long from tip to tip. The nieghbors called him sherman because of his size. He was my heart dog. Born 06/13/1980..gotcha 07/19/1980 ATB 07/19/1993. I love this puppy picture of him. In Loving Memory of Molly for Mary Cunningham "Rainbow Bridge Memorial Giveaway" (Winner #1)

This is "Molly "pet of
Mary Cunningham
and this is what she had to say about her

She adopted us when she was about 3, at least that's the age we were given by the Miami Animal Shelter. Her first mom died and a neighbor brought Molly into the shelter because there were no relatives to take her. Lucky us.

We'd considered getting a dog for several years because my husband traveled during the week and I was getting a little lonely.

He missed Molly on his first trip through the shelter, but on a second trip (he felt compelled to give one more look) past the cages of older dogs, there she was; sitting with as much dignity as a little lady could muster behind two barking German shepherds. My husband asked to meet her and the rest is history...love at first sight.

Molly left us more than two years ago. We had 13 years with her, and if we'd had our druthers, we'd have 13 more.

When Molly died, I was in the middle of writing the 4th book, The Magician's Castle, in my 'Tween series, Cynthia's Attic. I developed severe writers' block and wasn't sure I'd be able to finish the book. Gracious friends suggested I make Molly a character in the book. I did, and she is one of my favorite all-time characters.

I'll close with a suggestion of my own. Please consider adopting a dog or cat. You might be lucky enough to get a Molly!

Mary Cunningham
